In memory of those Americans, British, and Canadians who stormed those five Normandy beaches on June 6, 1944, and to those airborne forces who led the Allied assault the night before. Their mission was to begin the liberation of the French and Europeans from the death snares of Nazi Germany and its terroristic Gestapo apparatus. And they so did.
Thank you!
